The state police command announced the arrest on its Facebook wall on Thursday afternoon, saying the two men, Rabiu Shehu and Hashiru Yusuf, were arrested by the operatives attached to the Ekpoma Divisional Headquarters in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters.
According to the command, they were arrested while heading towards the forest through the Pipeline area route on a motorcycle bearing registration number KWC 014 QV, and were found in possession of food items and a power bank.
The command wrote: “Upon interrogation, they confessed that the food items were given to them by one Medisara Idris to deliver to a certain herdsman inside the forest.
