World Peace Honours Laraba As Ambassador
The general program council of the World Peace Organisation, World Peace Programme (WPP) for Sustainable Development Network has appointed Dr. Shoda Laraba as an Ambassador of Peace and Africa Women Leader.
She is the current President of the African Regional Council of Women and member board of the International Council of Women (ICW) worldwide.
In a statement during the presentation, the Director General of the WPP and United Nations Volunteer administered by UNDP, Prof. Olumuyiwa Babalola said, “She was proudly honoured for proving her mettle and referred to her as a worthy Ambassador and a model per excellent for the Africa Women.
“This is a very important appointment. Laraba Shoda will now be crafting the women policy and strategy for the whole of Africa and the policy is expected to impact all the 54 countries on the African continent which also include HE for SHE initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders,” he said.
