A 15-year-old teenager has given men of the Gombe State Police Command how he used to rob residents while brandishing a knife and also how he and others used to break into people’s homes to steal valuables.

The boy, Abubakar Aliyu, gave the details after he was arrested by the police for robbing a lady with a knife and dispossessing her of valuables at the Federal Low Cost area of Gombe metropolis.

The state police command announced the arrest on its Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon, saying the lady reported at the Low Cost Divisional Headquarters that she was attacked by an unknown person and robbed of her laptop, and iPhone, among other items.

After receiving the report, the police launched a manhunt which led to the arrest of the boy and the recovery of the items stolen from the lady.

During his interrogation, he was said to have given details of his criminal exploits, saying he also conspired with another robber currently at large and broke into the home of a lady also in the Low Cost area, stealing various items.

He was said to have given more useful information to the police operatives while a manhunt had been launched for the fleeing accomplice.
