A Lagos court has arraigned one Ewulum Chimeze Felix, who trades under the name Slenzy Ventures, over allegations of defrauding a businessman of N18 million under the guise of securing a United Kingdom visa and work permit.
The defendant is facing multiple charges brought against him over fraudulent dealings said to have occurred in 2024 and 2025. According to court filings, Felix allegedly obtained the sum of N18,038,000 from one Nnochiri Chiedozie Boniface, under the false pretense of facilitating travel documentation for the United Kingdom – a claim prosecutors say he knew to be entirely untrue.
Another charge against him alleges that on March 10, 2025, the defendant was found in possession of several fraudulent documents. Among them was a forged Florida driver’s licence bearing the name “Vojtisek Adriena,” which he reportedly used to deceive unsuspecting victims.
Felix pleaded not guilty to all charges when they were read to him before the court.
Following his plea, prosecuting counsel M.B. Isha requested that the court fix a date for trial and sought an order to remand the defendant at a correctional facility pending the commencement of proceedings.
Meanwhile, defence counsel Michael O. Nwigbo informed the court of a pending application, which is expected to be addressed in the next hearing.
The court is expected to rule on the remand request and trial date in the coming days as legal proceedings commence.
