First Class graduates of Sokoto origin get fully-funded Master’s scholarship from state govt

All the graduates of Sokoto State origin who bagged First Class degrees recently in various disciplines have been awarded automatic fully-funded Master’s degree scholarships by the state government.

Indication of this emerged on Sunday, November 30, in a statement issued by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Students’ Matters, urging the First Class graduates to send their documents to the office.

The statement reads: “The Office of the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Students Matters invites all Sokoto State indigenes who have recently graduated with First Class degrees to submit the following documents to the office of any of the three directors of the Scholarship Board.

“The Directors are:

1. Director Administration, Sokoto State Scholarship Board

2. Director, International Students Matters

3. Director, Students Matters.”

The state government said the move to award the scholarships was part of the government’s commitment to promoting excellence and supporting exceptional talents in the state.
