The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered what it described as a ‘high-tech indoor cannabis farm’ at a residential property in Apapa area of the state.
The command said the discovery was made on Monday, November 2, around 8:15 a.m. following credible intelligence received by the operatives regarding the cultivation of the cannabis.
Acting on the information, the operatives conducted a search of the premises, where a sophisticated indoor farming facility equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis was uncovered.
Two men were also arrested in connection with the discovery and their names were given as Thomas Razvickas, a 49-year-old Polish national, and James Chisome, aged 36, a Nigerian, both residents of the searched residence.

“The suspects are currently in police custody, where they have made confessional statements and are providing useful information to aid ongoing investigations,” the command said in a statement on Tuesday, November 3.
In fact, to demonstrate the seriousness of the matter, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Tijani Fatai, personally visited the scene to inspect the indoor cannabis farm, assess the extent of the operation and receive a briefing on the ongoing investigation.
“He commended the operatives for their vigilance and effective intelligence-led policing, reiterating the command’s unwavering commitment to combating drug-related offences, dismantling criminal networks and ensuring that Lagos State does not serve as a safe haven for criminal activities,” the statement added.
