According a statement signed by, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Ismaila Masilli, made available to IMPACT NEWS the approval is a show of Governor Yahaya’s determination to settle the backlog of gratuity of retired civil servants in the state.

The governor also directed all relevant agencies and personnel to commence the process of payment to the affected retirees with immediate effect.

According to Masilli, “With the latest payment, the Governor has further demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of all retired and serving civil Servants, whom he said deserve a dignified life both in service and retirement, hence the approval of the funds.”
