The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has paid a sympathy visit to the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, assuring him and the people of the state of the Church’s unwavering prayers and support in the face of recent violent attacks.

Speaking during a courtesy call at the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos, on Wednesday, Pastor Adeboye described the recurring violence in Plateau as “senseless and heart-wrenching,” and prophetically declared that “the season of bloodshed has come to an end.”

“We are here to encourage you and let you know that even in these difficult times, we have not relented in our prayers for Plateau State,” Adeboye said. “We have dedicated a special hour of intercession, believing a new chapter of peace, restoration, and hope will begin.”

He emphasized that human efforts can fail, but divine intervention never does:

“There are times when the arm of flesh will fail, but God never fails. Only He can bring the healing Plateau needs.”

Adeboye, who is in the state for RCCG’s annual retreat at the Church’s camp in Heipang, Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area, said it was imperative to visit the state leadership and pray for lasting peace and unity.

A special one-hour prayer session was scheduled for Wednesday evening at the Jesus House Regional Headquarters, Alheri, Jos, where faithful gathered to seek divine intervention for the state.

Governor Mutfwang: Your Visit Is a Sign of Hope

In his response, Governor Caleb Mutfwang expressed deep appreciation for the visit and for RCCG’s spiritual and moral support. He described Pastor Adeboye’s presence as “significant and timely,” especially as the state works to heal from the trauma of repeated attacks.

“We welcome you, Daddy GO, and the team that came with you. Your visit is a great encouragement to us. We believe that with the prayers and presence of God’s servants in this land, the heavens will be open over Plateau,” Mutfwang said.

He noted that activities had resumed at the RCCG Camp in Heipang, which had been deserted for some time due to insecurity. This, he said, symbolized a return of hope and improved stability.

Governor Mutfwang also commended security agencies for their collaboration with his administration, which he said had contributed to the relative calm being experienced in parts of the state.

“When men of God raise their voices to heaven, God grants wisdom and answers the cries of His people. We are confident that divine direction will come as we continue to seek His face,” the governor added.
