In a video shared by Popular comedian cum pastor, he laments how he was duped by someone who appeared genuine.
“I will tell you this, if you are in the act of helping people, be careful how you help. Be careful how you help. Be led when you want to help people.
“One day, I finished a program on the mountain. We just came down from fire and anointing when one guy approached me, using that classic line:
‘Woli I have visa, na travelling remain.’
Then he added:
‘Baba na you pray for me… baba your prayer dey work.’
I was so happy! My spirit lifted – I said “Glory to God.”
“He then said he had gathered some money but needed like 200k extra to complete his travel plans.
Money no really dey, but you know us – we love to help, it’s part of our ministry. So na so we gave this boy some money.”
He told me:
‘Ah baba I dey travel oh baba… thank you. I’m going tomorrow night.’
“I blessed him. We moved on.
“One week later, another program took us to Ibadan. After the ministration, hunger hook us small – we decided to eat at Amala Skye.
“Lo and behold – who do we see?
“Our ‘traveller’! Sitting comfortably, eating ogunfe like international buffet.
“I walked up to him and confronted him:
“You said you were travelling last week… ogunfe… egbami…
“Because me wey be say… people are heartless. Me wey be say I no get work, na God I dey do.”
I said:
“You collect our money, guy you no travel again…”
He looked at me and said:
‘Alaye, baba mi, money don…’
I was shocked. I asked:
“But you tell me say you dey travel, you don get visa…”
And this guy, with full boldness, responded:
‘O ti lo na yien, prophet… ema binu ni…’
“I could not cry. My tears were doing buffering.

“Now please oh… I see a lot of people in the DMs saying:
“I have COS, I have CSO, kin ikan kin ikan, please I need money for school…”
I don’t have. He said.
“I pray for you – the same God will provide.
“But as for me… won ti gba mi.
Please, people that help… be careful”, he said.
