Chairman of the BUA Group of Companies, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, on Saturday, January 10, promised to give $500,000 to the Super Eagles if they win the semi-final match against Morocco in the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
Alhaji Rabiu said this shortly after the Super Eagles walloped Algeria 2-0 in the energy-sapping Quarter final match held on Saturday evening.
Alhaji Rabiu added that if the team wins the final match and lift the trophy, he will give them $1 million as a way of appreciating their efforts.
Apart from this, Alhaji Rabiu said every goal scored during the semi-final will attract $50,000 while every goal scored by the Super Eagles in the final will attract $100,000.
He wrote on his Facebook page: “Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria.
“You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.
“To encourage you, I pledge $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored.
“Should you go on to win the final, I further pledge $1,000,000, plus $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.
“Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward. Keep making Nigeria proud.”
