A church leader on Monday, September 21, displayed a Wolimat certificate he received after graduating from a Qur’anic school 25 years ago.

The man, Apostle Michael Olowookere, the Lead Servant of the Corban Christian Assembly, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, displayed the certificate in a post on his X handle, saying he came across the document while searching for some old documents.

In the certificate, the preacher, who was then known as Monsuru Olowookere, completed the memorisation of the Quran, which is the condition for qualification for the Wolimat certificate.

The certificate was issued on October 28, 2001 by the Institute of Health and Islamic Studies, Kaduna State.

Part of the certificate reads: “This is to certify that Mr Monsuru Olowookere has completed the reading of the Holy Quran in Arabic Language and learned more about the Islamic religion. For this reason, he was given this certificate on the 28th of October, 2001.”

Writing on the issue, the cleric said: “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

“I was searching for some old documents and came across my Wolimat certificate 25 years ago. It brought lots of memories to me.

“If not for Jesus, na where I for dey now?”
