President Donald Trump on Friday, May 22, told his eldest son, Don Jr, that circumstances pertaining to government and his love for the country would not allow him to attend his wedding coming up on Saturday, May 23.
Trump said this in his Truth Social post, saying he wished Don and the newest member of the family, Bettina a happy and successful marriage.
Trump wrote: “While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so.
“I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina.”
Donald Trump Jr. is set to wed Palm Beach socialite, Bettina Anderson in an intimate ceremony on a private island in the Bahamas on Saturday.
The couple previously considered a lavish ceremony at the White House but ultimately scaled back the event.
*Donald Trump Jr was born on October 31, 1977, from Trump’s previous marriage to Ivana Trump.
He is an executive Vice President at The Trump Organization and was active in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 campaigns.
