Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday, December 14, displayed the culinary stuff he was made of as he took part in the Lagos Food Festival where he cooked a meal and said the food he prepared “tasted fantastic.”
Sanwo-Olu disclosed this on his verified X handle shortly after leaving the venue of the food festival held at the Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, adding that the atmosphere was full of laughter, fun and dancing.
He said the festival afforded him the opportunity to display his cooking skills and he did so by cooking a meal which taste he described as ‘fantastic.’
He wrote: “Today, I was at the Lagos Food Festival and had a great time. I loved meeting people, soaking in the atmosphere, and seeing the incredible range of food on display. When it comes to flavour, Lagos really knows how to show up.
“I cooked. Literally. I showed off a bit of my cooking skills, and the food tasted fantastic. There was good music, plenty of laughter, and a lot of fun all around.
“When it comes to showing off the energy of Lagos, the food, the music, the vibe, as the young people would say, involve me. This city has a spirit you cannot fake, and events like this show exactly why Lagos is Lagos.”
The Lagos Food Festival is taking place at different locations including Ikorodu, Badagry, Tafawa Balewa Square, among others throughout the month of December and since it started, many residents have thronged the places.
