One Onyendu Eze, 30, has been ordered on Tuesday to be reminded in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre by an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court presided over by Mrs Ejiro Kubeinje for defiling his neighbour’s 14-year-old daughter.
Eze, a resident of Agege area of Lagos was accused to have forcefully had canal knowledge of the teenager at his residence.
Police prosecutor, ASP Bisi Ogunleye, told court that the defendant lured the teenager into his apartment to commit the offence.
“He called the girl into his room, bolted the door, forcefully removed her clothes and had sexual intercourse with her, he narrated.
The girl was said to have raised alarm after the defendant eventually opened the door.
The magistrate, who refused to take the plea of the accused, adjourned the case to December 8 for hearing and directed that the suspect be remanded in prison while prosecutor was also directed to duplicate the case file and send it to the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.
