Ex-governor of old Ondo State and elder statesman, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua has died at 80.
Information gathered states that in the early hours of Thursday the second civilian governor of the State passed on in his country home, in Ikere-Ekiti.
His death has been confirmed by a close member of the family as well as his eldest son, Muyiwa Olumilua who is currently the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation.
The late Olomilua was the Governor of old Ondo State under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) from January 1992 to November 1993 during the Nigerian Third Republic.
