The Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy-Egba has disclosed in Abuja on Tuesday that federal government has issued the framework for the deployment of a solar mini-grid in the power industry.
The Minister of State for Power, made it known that this would help maintain standards in the solar-mini grid subsector adding that it will resolve the issue of hike in inferior renewable energy machinery and equipment.
In his observation, this is in a bid to provide accessible electricity to Nigerians by the government.
Recall that two days, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) launched a solar intervention fund aimed at providing investors access to credit facility with an upper limit of N500 million.
According to the minister, the scheme would address the challenge posed by lack of uniformity in renewable energy projects.
