The family of Chief T.O.S Benson, First Republic Minister of Information has expressed relief after they declared their matriarch and Yeye Oge of Lagos, Chief (Mrs) Opral Benson, missing, saying information at their disposal indicated that she has been found in Liberia, her country of origin.
The family had earlier on Tuesday in a flyer announced that Mrs Benson left her Lagos home on January 13 and had not been seen since then.
The flyer reads: “The family reports that Mama Opral Benson has been missing since Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She has not returned home and her current whereabouts are unknown.
“Anyone who has seen her, or has any information, no matter how small, is urged to contact us immediately.
“Call 08037039214. Alternatively, please report to the nearest police station. This is time-sensitive. Please share immediately.”
However, a few hours after, the family said information at their disposal indicated that she travelled to Liberia without informing anyone.
The family therefore thanked Nigerians who made calls and expressed their concerns over the development, saying there is no cause for alarm again.
