The Renewed Hope Grassroots Student Movements has held a solidarity walk in support of Omoba Adeolu Omokayode Anwojue for the House of Representatives, representing the Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.

The solidarity walk was held in key grassroots communities across Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State on Tuesday, April 21.

Among those who participated in the solidarity walk were students and youths, who note that Omoba Anwojue represents hope, inclusiveness, and purposeful leadership.

Comrade Ojikutu Abdulazeez Olatunji, South West Coordinator, Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement Student, said the student group held the solidarity walk to support Omoba Awojue because of his charitable acts toward students and other groups in the communities.

“We are holding a solidarity walk for Omoba Adeolu Omokayode Anwojue. We believe that he has a vision for the community.

“My coordinator called me that he has been doing an amazing job across the three local governments of this federal constituency, and there is the need for us to endorse and to support him based on his contribution to students in terms of offering free WAEC, NECO, and JAMB forms to students.

“Aside from that, he has been doing a lot of community charity, such as providing free healthcare to old people and free food packs for the elderly across different communities.

“He has been doing a lot of philanthropic works, and that is why we, the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement, came here today to support him and to endorse him and to make a solidarity walk for him.

“Most of the students are busy writing their exams; they are supposed to be in their classes, but because of the empathy and belief in this visionary leader, we left our academic activities and came all the way from Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu Igbo, TASUED, and others to give a solidarity walk for our leader.”

Also, Comrade Olayinka Stephen Adedapo, Secretary, Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement, Ogun State, noted that the impact of Omoba Anwojue’s philanthropic works is being felt even though he is not in power, expressing optimism about what he will do when elected into power.

He said, “We came here for a solidarity walk for Omoba Adeolu Omokayode Anwojue to support him. He is the right choice for us. He is the person we can rely on. He has been doing a lot of things for us. He is not in power yet, but he has been doing a lot of things for us, for the community and for all the local governments, and we just need to support him.

“What he is doing is already showing. During this solidarity walk, students and a lot of people came out to support us; they are already cheering for us. This is to show that he is the right person for the job. We just need to vote for our candidate.”

According to the student movement, Omoba Anwojue is known for his strong connection with the younger generation and has consistently shown that he is not distant from the realities on the ground.

The group notes that he speaks the language of the students, understands the aspirations of the youth, and remains committed to the development of local communities, adding that his leadership style reflects accessibility, sincerity, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people.
