Former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, PRTT, Abdulrasheed Maina has been extradited to Nigeria following his arrest on Monday in Niger Republic .
Maina was received by men of the Nigeria Police Force at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Thursday.
Reports revealed that the aircraft carrying the former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team landed at the Airport at 2.15 pm.
Maina is currently facing trial for fraud to the tune of 2 billion naira.
Maina failed to appear in court, escaping to Niger republic. This led to the remand of Senator Ali Ndume, who stood as a surety for him.
Ndume spent days in Kuje prison before being granted bail.
Speaking with newsmen, the Commissioner of Police in charge of Interpol said Mr Maina was brought back to Nigeria on the directive of the IGP, Mohammed Adamu.
