Nomadic Fulanis in Delta state have vowed to expose any of its members involved in crimes in the state to forestall further damage to its image.
At a stakeholder meeting held on Wednesday in Asaba, the state Chairman, Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria, ( MLAN) Barr Muhammed Nduka’ Elunor said that the meeting was in reaction to series of complaints on infringement of their rights and other reports on crimes allegedly being committed by the Fulanis in various parts of the state.
Maintaining that there was need for every fulani to respect the customs and traditions of his host communities, and abide by every norm and value of people, Barr Elunor said that the state government does not discriminate but very willing to accommodate anyone, irrespective of tribe or ethnic belonging, on the condition that they would live peaceably and possibly add to the development of the state.
