The President, African Projects/Foundation for Peace and Love Initiatives, Dr. Titus Oyeyemi has called for unity and harmonious relationship among the three top leading political parties in the country premising this on the interest of the nation.

He also said this step would go a long way to enhancing hitch free elections in future.

He made this call in Lagos during a press conference with the theme: “Creating a Formula to Enfranchise Federal Capital Territory, Abuja”

Oyeyemi, who is also the Founder of TimeON KAIROS Polytechnic and Professional Institute asked the aggrieved parties to bury their hatchets, adopt peaceful resolution and jettison the democracy of winners take it all as currently being practiced in Nigeria today.

According to him, only peace and unity can obliterate ethnicity in the country. The educationist opined that the three political parties can come together after the elections to form the government with the winning party producing the President; the runner up in the election producing the Chief Justice of the Federation while the third party produces Inspector General of Police.

He commended former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for towing this line in his address at the maiden Policy Making and Governance Lecture Series of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru near Jos where he emphasized that it was possible for Nigeria to conquer ethnic and religious prejudices and build a unified nation.

“If we all have one voice, the determination and a common goal to build a peaceful and one nation, we would easily achieve our goal and the nation will be better for it.”

“God does not support violence in any way but an advocate of the way of peace who has a way of showing his disapproval to violence as entrenched in the Scriptures,” he said.
