The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Mother in Israel, Pastor Folu Adeboye, on Tuesday, September 8, celebrated 59 years of marriage, as they said the whole thing felt like yesterday.
The couple got married on September 8, 1967 and the wedding is blessed with successful children and grandchildren.
The Adeboyes, while reflecting on the past 59 years of their togetherness, said through the years, they had experienced seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers and countless reasons to give God thanks.
They wrote: “Today, we look back with grateful hearts as we celebrate 59 years of marriage.
“It feels like yesterday that we began this journey together. Through the years, we have experienced seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers and countless reasons to give God thanks.
“We have learnt that marriage is not just about the beautiful moments. It is about choosing each other every day, giving room for growth, showing patience, forgiving, praying together and trusting God through every season.
“Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the centre of our home. Every step of the way, He has remained faithful.
“As we celebrate 59 years together, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to God and appreciation for everyone who has loved, prayed for and supported us and our family over the years.
“We are grateful for the journey so far, and we look forward to all that God still has in store.
