Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, August 19, gave the sum of N20 million each to two of the best graduating students of the Lagos State University (LASU).
Sanwo-Olu, who is the Visitor to the university, announced the donation during the 29th and 30th combined convocation ceremony of the institution held on Wednesday.
The beneficiaries are of the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 graduating sets who also bagged First Class degrees.
They are Ayilara Lawal Olawale who studied Project Management and obtained CGPA of 4.96 out of 5.00. He is of the 2024/25 graduating set and Adebanjo Samuel Oluolamide who studied Aerospace Engineering and obtained CGPA of 4.97 out of 5.00. He is of the 2025/26 graduating set.
The announcement elicited wild jubilation from those in attendance including the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibironke Bello.
