The Kano State Police Command on Saturday, January 17, gave details of how some hoodlums attacked a woman in her house, killed her and and her entire six children.
The command disclosed that the incident occurred in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters the metropolis, adding that it had begun investigation into the gruesome murder.
According to the command in a statement, its operatives received a distress call at about 12:10 p.m. regarding an attack assault on the residence of the woman, Fatima Abubakar, aged 35 years, where the woman and her six children were killed.
Police said the hoodlums broke into the house and attacked the victims with weapons, inflicting injuries on them that led to their eventual death.
On arrival at the scene, the woman and her children were taken to the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, where they were confirmed dead by doctors on duty..
“In a bid to bring the perpetrators to justice, the Commissioner of Police has directed the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident,” the command said.
