Factional interim National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Senator Nenadi Usman, has criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government, accusing it of plunging Nigerians into unprecedented hardship.
Speaking with journalists in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Usman described the suffering across the country as “intolerable” and said the APC had impoverished Nigerians more than any previous administration.
She reassured citizens that the Labour Party remains committed to correcting what she termed the “grave missteps and failures” of the current government, promising a credible, people-centered alternative that can restore hope and national dignity.
Addressing the recent wave of defections from LP and other opposition parties to the ruling APC, Usman called the trend both legally questionable and morally indefensible.
“Many of those who left the party never truly believed in its vision for a new Nigeria,” she said, maintaining that the LP remains strong due to the continued support of the Nigerian people.
She urged all aggrieved members to put aside differences and unite as the party prepares for its membership revalidation, congresses, and national convention, all of which have been approved by the National Executive Council (NEC).
