Lekki massacre: Angry Youths Set TVC, NPA, BRT Buses, Sanwo-Olu’s Family House on fire

Nigerian youths are on rampage in response to the shooting of unarmed protesters in Lagos on Tuesday night at Lekki Tollgate by Nigerian soldiers.

Reports reaching us reveal that chaos has erupted across the city with police divisions, a bus station, Nigeria Port Authority and a television house are being set ablaze.

Also, disturbing footages, showed a house purportedly belonging to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s mother being set ablaze by irate youths.

Also burnt down is TV Continental (TVC) owned by the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Iga Idugaran, the palace of the Oba of Lagos was reportedly touched by the angry youths.

The mob, according to reports, also set Adekunle police station near the Third Mainland Bridge on fire after two of their residents were shot dead by the police on Wednesday morning. This is as killings and maiming have erupted in Mushin area of the state.

There are also reports that some policemen are shooting live rounds at Adekunle, Herbert Macaulay, at Yaba as seen in some videos. Other reports have it that police have killed some youth at Ebutte-Metta area of the state.

However, the  National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has denied being part of the shooting at the Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday night.

Dozens of End SARS protesters were killed and many left critically injured, after men believed to be officers of the Nigerian Army, opened fire at them.

In a telephone interview with Channels Television on Wednesday morning, Tinubu insisted he will never be part of any carnage.

The former Governor of the state also condemned the action of the Army, saying, “Why will they use live bullets?

“I will never, never be part of any carnage. I will never be part of that.”

Tinubu also denied having any investment in the Lekki Concession Company (LCC), the firm which manages the tollgate.

“I have no dime, no kobo investment in the tollgate,” he said.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday, called for the sustenance of the ongoing End SARS protest, despite the shooting on demonstrators.

Kanu urged the protesters not to give up because those in government would do everything possible to subdue them.
