Some Nigerian ladies who were found stranded in Libya have been intercepted by the country’s police and are awaiting deportation anytime from now.
The ladies were put inside four buses on Sunday evening by the Judicial Police Department in the North African country on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and taken to the Directorate for Combatting Illegal Immigration (DCIM) custody in Tripoli, the country’s capital, for deportation.
They are expected to be deported after their deportation orders have been signed by the police authorities in the country.
According to Migrant Rescue Watch, an agency reporting illegal immigration in Libya, the ladies were found stranded in various parts of the country after they travelled out of Nigeria.
Many Nigerians, especially those who travelled to Libya in order to get to Europe through the Mediterranean Sea, have been apprehended in the country and repatriated back to Nigeria through the International Office of Migration (IOM).
Some other Nigerians, especially ladies who were lured with lucrative job offers into the country and became stranded after they found that those offers were non-existent, had also been apprehended and deported back to Nigeria.
