Luka Modrić has confirmed he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, bringing to a close a legendary 13-year spell with the Spanish giants. The 39-year-old Croatian midfielder will play his final match at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday, May 24, with his official departure coming after the FIFA Club World Cup in July.
In an emotional farewell shared on social media, Modrić expressed gratitude to fans, teammates, and the club. “The time has come—the time I never wanted to come,” he wrote. “Real Madrid will always be my home. For life. Hala Madrid and nothing else.”
