The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially commenced mobilization activities for Batch A Stream II, set to resume orientation camps across the country in June 2025. The announcement, released through the NYSC Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, has sparked excitement and preparation among thousands of prospective corps members (PCMs) across Nigeria.

According to the mobilization timetable, orientation camps are scheduled to open from June 11 to July 1, 2025, in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The program will begin with the registration of corps members and camp activities, including physical drills, lectures, and community development training.

The NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi, confirmed that all logistical and security arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth exercise. She emphasized that health and safety protocols would be maintained across all camps, with collaboration from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and state health authorities.

“We are fully prepared for Batch A Stream II. All stakeholders have been briefed. Medical screening, accommodation, and security plans are well underway,” she said.

Across social media platforms and university communities, news of the mobilization has generated enthusiasm, especially among recent graduates eager to fulfill the one-year national service requirement.

Others, however, voiced concerns about camp locations and redeployment. Some PCMs posted queries on the NYSC portal regarding posting preferences, particularly those with health concerns or family obligations.

The NYSC portal has been reopened for final verification and printing of call-up letters, expected to be released starting June 8, 2025. PCMs have been advised to monitor the portal regularly, verify their details, and download their call-up letters promptly.

• “Corps members must report to their designated camps with all required documents,” the NYSC statement read.

The NYSC management also reaffirmed its commitment to corps members’ welfare and security. Security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and Civil Defence, will be deployed to orientation camps and key transit points.

The June 2025 Batch A Stream II marks another critical cycle in Nigeria’s youth mobilization efforts, as thousands of young graduates from universities and polytechnics across the country prepare to contribute their quota to national development.
