The candidate of the All Progressives Congress and incumbent governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu, is far head of the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Eyitayo Jegede and other contestants in the state governorship election results declared so far early on Sunday.
The results announced by the Local Government collation officers at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s collation centre in Akure early Sunday morning show that Eyitayo Jedede was trailing in a distant of thousands of votes.
The election held in 18 local governments in the sunshine state on Saturday has 17 political parties participating.
