One year after, Bukola Dakolo updates Nigerians
Busola Dakolo, celebrity photographer has come out to update Nigerians about her rape allegation against popular Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), a year after she granted a damning interview about the allegation.
Recalled that in November 2020, Justice Uthman Musa dismissed the rape case against Fatoyinbo stating that it was status barred since it happened decades ago. Busola Dakolo who is married to popular Nigerian artist Timi Dakolo, took to her Instagram and Twitter handles to update Nigerians.
Dakolo posted a letter by the Nigerian Police addressed to a group, Not in My Church, on her social media handles.
The letter, dated 25th March, 2020, and signed by DCP Umar Sanda Mamma, stated in part that “the Force Criminal Investigation Department had concluded its investigation and forwarded the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation (DPPF) for legal advice and further necessary action.”
Dakolo in her statement said, “We have written a letter but for over a month we have no response.
“Instead, my lawyers and family have heard about all manner of manipulation and foul play being attempted to stop the ministry from beginning prosecution immediately. Or even to get the police report manipulated,” she alleged.
In the heat of the allegation, Fatoyinbo was forced to cancel one of his annual programmed that had international guest speakers on the list. He also had to step aside as the presiding pastor for a period.
