The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, November 26, said 2,449,475 Nigerians completed online and physical continuous voter registrations.
In a report released on Wednesday, INEC said 1,425,898 individuals completed the online pre-registration process, while 1,023,577 finalised their registration through physical capture.
According to the report, Osun State took the lead with 193,026 completed registrations, followed by Imo State with 144,209 and Kano State with 142,433.
It added that Sokoto State recorded 132,584, while Lagos State had 115,334 registrations, closely followed by Borno State with 112,226 completed registrations, and the Federal Capital Territory reported 106,855.
Kogi State had 97,012 registrations, Jigawa State polled 95,543, Zamfara State had 90,739, Katsina State recorded 87,661, while Kaduna State posted 82,421 registrations.
Further analysis of registration by state showed that Delta registered 79,495, followed by Kebbi with 77,721, and Ogun with 77,014.
Niger State had 73,745 registrations, Oyo and Akwa Ibom states registered 68,559 and 68,464, respectively, while Rivers State recorded 63,621.
Adamawa State had 52,381 completed registrations, followed by Kwara State with 50,221, and Yobe State with 49,766.
Completed registrations in Benue State stood at 46,802, Bayelsa State recorded 41,856, and Bauchi State had 37,749 completed registrations.
The report further stated that Ekiti State posted 33,393 registrations, Gombe State recorded 32,890, and Nasarawa State recorded 31,862. Ebonyi State recorded 29,102 registrations, while Edo State reported 27,602.
Plateau State recorded 25,301 registrations, Taraba State had 18,731, Enugu State recorded 17,234, and Ondo State with 16,709. Cross River State followed with 15,339, while Abia State completed 13,875 registrations.
The number of registrations in Anambra State remained at zero, as voter registration in the state is still suspended under Section 9(6) of the Electoral Act 2022, following the recently-concluded governorship election.
The continuous voter registration is scheduled to be concluded in August 2026.
The report indicates that states in the South-West, particularly Osun and Lagos, have consistently led in registration numbers. This trend has remained noticeable since the exercise began on August 18, 2025.
