Romelu Lukaku will cost Inter Milan around £80million – Reports
Manchester United are prepared to let Romelu Lukaku leave if a club pays close to £80million for him, according to reports.
New Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is believed to be eyeing a big-money move for the Belgium international this summer.
Romelu Lukaku struggled for form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Conte tried to re-sign Lukaku from Everton during his time as Chelsea boss in 2017, but the striker opted to join United in a £75million deal.
Inter are expected to make a formal approach for Lukaku, who has been in and out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, next week.
United are understood to have paid an extra £15million in add-ons to Everton and want to recoup most of the £75million fee.
Inter are not willing to match the £80million asking price, but could finance a deal by selling contract rebel Mauro Icardi to Juventus. In April, he said: “Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream.”
“I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if, at the moment, I am focused on United.”
Despite struggling for form last term, Lukaku has scored 42 goals in 96 games for United.
He has three years left on his Old Trafford deal.
