Three men who were said to have purchased a Mercedes Benz GLE worth N75 million and paid with a fake bank credit alert in Abuja have been arrested after taking the vehicle to Kano State.
Unfortunately however, the fourth person who was said to have actually made the fake transfer is currently at large and has been declared wanted by men of the Kano State Police Command.
The names of those arrested were given as Ibrahim Tijjani, Jamilu Auwal and Mohammed Nura Dauda while that of the fleeing fourth person is Ibrahim Yahaya.
According to reports, they were arrested on January 28 at Kabuga Quarters, Kano metropolis, by the command’s Special Intervention Squad (SIS) following intelligence reports after they bought the Mercedes Benz GLE motor vehicle, white in colour with a fake alert.
They were said to have bought the vehicle at Gwarinpa, Abuja, for N75 million using a fake alert sent by Ibrahim Yahaya. The vehicle was intercepted after they brought it to Kano and has now been handed over to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command for further investigation.
The three men have given more useful information to the police operatives and the case has been transferred to the FCT Police Command for further investigation.
