President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday evening held a closed-door meeting with Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Governor Yusuf arrived at the villa around 4:00 p.m. and was led to the president’s office by the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The meeting came amid various reports of the defection by Governor Yusuf from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sources close to the meeting disclosed that all is now set for the defection of the governor to the ruling party as their talks centred mostly on how the political structure in Kano State will join the APC train.
