The leadership of the Labour Party (LP) says it is proud of the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, noting its pride that the “nation’s most impactful governor today” is a product of the party.
The party congratulated Governor Otti on his third anniversary in office, saying that he remains the ‘finest outcome’ of the party’s 2023 electoral outing.
LP’s National Publicity Secretary, Ken Asogwa, felicitated the governor in a statement issued on Friday, May 29, in Abuja, and assured Otti of the party’s support for his second-term bid.
The party noted that in the last three years, Otti had continued to demonstrate that the Labour Party truly governs with a difference.
“His outstanding performance in office, widely acknowledged by several rating organisations across the country, has earned him the reputation of being Nigeria’s best-performing governor.
“As a party, we are proud that the nation’s most impactful governor today is a product of the Labour Party.
“As the 2027 general elections gradually approach, we are confident that the good people of Abia will reward his remarkable leadership, bold reforms, and transformative strides across critical sectors of the state economy,” it said.
The party further stated that it was delighted that, despite distractions and opposition from individuals and forces in Abia, Otti had remained focused, resolute, and committed to delivering purposeful governance to the people.
It also wished the governor success in his service to the people of the state as he seeks a second term in office in 2027.
“We congratulate him on this milestone and wish him greater success in his continued service to the people of Abia,” the party said.
