The trial of Abuja-based cleric, Pastor Amos Isah, founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, is scheduled to resume on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja, amid growing public attention and allegations of attempts to influence the case.

Pastor Isah was arrested in 2025 after a 14-year-old girl accused him of sexually assaulting her inside the church’s newly constructed auditorium located in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.

Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi is expected to preside over the proceedings, which rights groups and residents have described as a major test of justice in cases involving sexual abuse of minors.

According to allegations before the court, the cleric reportedly lured the teenager into the church auditorium under false pretences before allegedly locking the doors and assaulting her.

The victim further alleged that after the incident, the pastor gave her ₦3,000 for medication and threatened to kill her and members of her family if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

Family members of the teenager have also accused the cleric of allegedly targeting minors over the years under the guise of offering spiritual guidance and mentorship.

“This girl is just one of many. He has been preying on minors for years,” a relative of the victim alleged while speaking to journalists.

The pastor was arrested on June 18, 2025, following a formal complaint filed by the victim’s father. The Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) later concluded investigations into the matter.

However, concerns emerged after the cleric allegedly failed to appear during an earlier court sitting, fuelling speculation about possible interference and attempts to delay the trial.

Sources familiar with the case also alleged that Pastor Isah recently visited the victim’s family at night in what was described as an attempt to seek forgiveness and persuade them to soften their position as the case progressed.

“Now Amos is secretly begging; the case is properly starting on May 14,” a source close to the family said.

Community members and rights advocates say they are closely monitoring the proceedings to ensure the matter is not compromised through intimidation, pressure or private settlement.

As of press time, the pastor had not publicly responded to the allegations against him.
