The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the deadlines for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
JAMB said the deadline for the 2026/2027 admission exercise for public universities is October 31, 2026, while private universities have until November 30, 2026, and the deadline for other tertiary institutions is December 31, 2026.
The examination body stated this in a statement posted on its official X handle on Monday, September 28, while announcing the restoration of its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) following a temporary disruption.
JAMB noted that CAPS is “fully restored and is now operational” and urged institutions to accelerate their admission processes to recover lost time and meet the agreed deadlines.
It also advised candidates to promptly accept admission offers made to them.
The board said, “With CAPS back online, institutions are urged to accelerate their admission processes to recover lost time and meet the agreed admission deadlines. Candidates are also advised to promptly accept admission offers made to them.”

It also asked candidates who had previously been awaiting their results to upload or verify their credentials following the release of the 2026 National Examinations Council Senior School Certificate Examination results.
“Following the release of the 2026 NECO SSCE results, candidates who previously awaited their results are advised to upload and/or verify them promptly to ensure their credentials are available for consideration as institutions intensify their admission processes.
“JAMB regrets the inconveniences caused by the temporary disruption and appreciates the patience and understanding of all stakeholders,” JAMB added.
The board urged all stakeholders to take advantage of the restoration of CAPS and proceed with the admission process within the approved timelines.
