The All Progressives Congress (APC) outfit set up for Tinubu-Shettima 2027 Presidency, the Citi Boy Movement, has suspended its South-West coordinator, Women Wing, Mrs Adenike Tejuosho, after she was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC had on Monday declared the woman wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
Tejuosho, aged 41 years, said to be an indigene of Lagos State, had her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, and was declared wanted by the anti graft agency following petitions received from some individuals.
However, the City Boy Movement, in a statement a few hours after she was declared wanted, said the woman had been suspended from her position pending the conclusion and resolution of the matter by the relevant authorities.
The Movement wrote: “Consequently, and in line with the Movement’s unwavering commitment to integrity, discipline, accountability, and respect for the rule of law, we hereby announce the immediate suspension of Mrs. Tejuosho from her office as South-West Zonal Coordinator, Women Wing, with effect from today, pending the full conclusion and resolution of the matter by the relevant authorities.”
The Movement added that the action was taken as a necessary administrative measure to protect the image, credibility, and ethical standards of the Movement, saying that it was also intended to ensure that the ongoing process is allowed to proceed without interference, obstruction, or undue influence.
“The City Boy Movement wishes to make it unequivocally clear that it maintains a zero-tolerance stance against misconduct, criminality, or any act capable of bringing the organisation into disrepute. Every official of the Movement is expected to uphold the highest standards of character, responsibility, and public conduct,” it added in a statement posted on Tuesday.
