President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

The first two citizens received the AstraZeneca vaccine on Saturday at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, a day after the Federal Government launched the vaccination exercise in the country.

The vaccine was administered to the President by his chief personal physician in the presence of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, and some members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Osinbajo was also administered the jab by his personal physician.

After the vaccination, both President Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo were presented with their E-vaccination cards.

Recall that Dr Faisal Shuaib, the Executive Director, National Primary Health Care Development Agency had said the president and his vice would be vaccinated on Saturday.

According to Shuaib, the exercise would boost the confidence of Nigerians to receive the vaccine shipped into the country earlier this week.
