The Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday, October 8, issued a disclaimer against one of its staff members who it alleged had been dismissed by the organisation but is going about using its name to defraud members of the public.
The DSS disclosed the development on its verified X handle on Wednesday night, saying the man, whose name was given as Barry Donald, and who was dismissed sometimes ago over an undisclosed offence, is going about defrauding people.
According to the DSS: “He is reportedly engaging in unscrupulous activities, including using the name of the Service to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.”
It therefore warned members of the public to desist from having any dealings with him.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any dealings with him. For requests, enquiries or complaints, the Service can be reached on 09088373515,” it added.
