The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, and his Deputy, Benjamin Kalu, have urged Muslims across Nigeria to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as they celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlud.
In separate goodwill messages, the two presiding officers of the House called on Nigerians to embrace the Prophet’s teachings of peace, humility, discipline, and service to humanity.
Speaker Abbas noted that while the country continues to grapple with economic and social challenges, Nigeria has the potential to prosper if both leaders and citizens uphold the principles of justice, love, and charity exemplified by the Prophet. He further appealed to Muslims to sustain prayers for the nation and to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, as well as other leaders across different levels of government, in steering the country toward growth and stability.
Deputy Speaker Kalu echoed the call, emphasizing that the lessons from Prophet Muhammad’s life remain relevant for building unity, tolerance, and national progress.
