Telecoms giant, Globacom, has tendered apologies to its subscribers over the disruption of data services nationwide which occurred on Tuesday morning.
Many subscribers woke up on Tuesday and found it hard to use their data on the network and the problem persisted in many places across the country till around noon.
Many subscribers who relied on the network to transact businesses were disappointed while those who wanted to make transfers were unable to do so for many hours, thereby losing the opportunity to get things done.
Many Nigerians on various social media platforms expressed their anger after switching to other telecom platforms, saying they were shocked to have spent hours using the Glo network without any success.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, Glo issued a statement, apologising profusely over the glitch, adding that its technicians are doing everything possible to rectify the situation.
Glo wrote: “Earlier today, a data service outage occurred nationwide, affecting data connectivity across multiple locations.
“The outage started at 8:30 a.m. on 9-12-2025 and its still ongoing. We understand how important reliable access is to you and sincerely apologise for the disruption.
“Our technical team is working to resolve the issue and ensure services are being restored as quickly as possible.”
A few hours after, Glo announced restoration of its service and said: “We’re back. Data services are fully restored nationwide. We appreciate your patience and are committed to keeping you connected, always.”
