Heirs Insurance Group, Nigeria’s fastest-growing insurance conglomerate, has announced the launch of the inaugural Heirs Insurance Travel Festival, billed to hold on November 29, 2025, in Lagos. The one-day event aims to foster an inclusive travel ecosystem for Africans and redefine how insurance supports global tourism and cultural exchange.

According to a statement by the company, the festival, themed “Promoting Cultural Diversity and an Inclusive Travel Ecosystem,” will bring together thousands of participants, including travel industry stakeholders, embassy representatives, tourism content creators, and travel enthusiasts. The goal is to celebrate global cross-border tourism, promote cultural understanding, and explore how insurance can enhance travel experiences across the continent.

The maiden edition promises a rich lineup of activities, including diplomatic dialogues, fireside chats with leading African travel creators, panel sessions, cultural showcases, and live performances. Guests will also enjoy immersive games, vibrant music, and a curated marketplace featuring vendors across food, lifestyle, tourism, and entertainment sectors — all designed to bring global experiences closer to Nigerian audiences.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Ifesinachi Okpagu, Chief Marketing Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, described the festival as a bold initiative that aligns with the company’s mission to promote safe, inclusive, and borderless travel.

“Travel is about discovery, exposure, and connection. The world is more connected than ever, but with border restrictions, it is becoming increasingly difficult to explore opportunities. Heirs Insurance Group is creating a platform to address these limitations, as insurance plays a key role in unlocking these opportunities safely. Through the Heirs Insurance Travel Festival, we are championing a physically borderless world and provoking meaningful conversations that promote responsible, inclusive travel for all,” Okpagu said.

The company disclosed that registration is open to the public, with free passes available on its website. Businesses seeking to showcase their products or secure exhibition booths can also register via https://heirsinsurancegroup.com/travel_festival/.

Heirs Insurance Group is the insurance subsidiary of Heirs Holdings, the pan-African investment company with operations in 24 countries across four continents. The group comprises Heirs General Insurance Limited, Heirs Life Assurance Limited, and Heirs Insurance Brokers, serving both individual and corporate clients across Nigeria.

Through initiatives such as the Travel Festival, Heirs Insurance is reinforcing its leadership in digital insurance innovation, financial inclusion, and customer engagement, while underscoring the company’s broader mission – to democratise access to insurance and make protection a lifestyle for all Nigerians.
