The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) change of institution and course process for candidates who sat for the examination this year.
JAMB also announced that the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip would commence on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The examination board disclosed this in a notice issued by its spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on its official X handle on Friday, May 15.
“Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so by visiting any of the Board’s approved CBT. Applicants are advised to visit any accredited CBT centre to effect the changes.
Furthermore, the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, May 18, 2026,” the notice read.
The board advised candidates to visit accredited CBT centres for the printing of their result slips and other related services.

The development comes weeks after JAMB announced the release of the 2026 UTME results but delayed the printing of official result slips, allowing candidates to only check scores via SMS.
Recall that 2,243,816 candidates registered for the 2026 UTME, representing a 10.5 percent increase compared with those who registered to sit for the examination in 2025.
The registered candidates sat for the 2026 UTME across accredited Computer-Based Tests (CBT) nationwide from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.
