The Muslim community in Oyo Town, Oyo State, have expressed their profound gratitude to a resident of the town who is a Christian and who donated the sum of N3 million towards the completion of the hospital building project they embarked on.
The Muslim community expressed the gratitude in a statement by Imam Daud Tijani Igi Ogun, Chairman of the hospital project, saying the man, who did not want his name revealed, gave the money in two installments.
According to the Muslim community, the hospital project has been uncompleted for some time and when the Christian resident was informed about it, he gave the sum of N1 million first before giving another N2 million.
The chairman wrote: “With a heart filled with gratitude and deep respect, I write on behalf of the entire Muslim Community of Oyo and its environs to specially appreciate and acknowledge the remarkable generosity of a great philanthropist (a Christian brother) who has, so far, made a significant donation towards the completion of the Oyo Muslim Community Hospital.
“Deeply moved by the inclusiveness and purpose of the project being built for the entire community and the upcoming generations, the said person graciously donated the sum of N1 million initially. Remarkably, within just two weeks, he further demonstrated his unwavering support by adding another N2 million, bringing his total contribution to N3 million.
“This extraordinary act of kindness, generosity, and interfaith solidarity will never be forgotten. It stands as a shining example of humanity above all differences.”
