Nigeria ranks first on consumption of Marijuana in Africa

An analytics company specializing in the cannabis industry, New Frontier Data has rate Nigeria as the highest consumer of Marijuana in Africa.

According to New Frontier Data “the purpose of the report is to support operators and investors in guiding business strategy by providing a macro view of cannabis use and legalization trends globally.”

Information has it that the new report on which African country consumes marijuana the most has been revealed in the Global Cannabis Report: 2019 Industry Outlook.

The reports ranked Nigeria number one country in Africa in marijuana consumption with 20.8 million users followed by Ethiopia’s 7.1 million users.

According to the report, Egypt rank third and DR Congo rank fourth with 5.9 million and 5 million users respectively.

Sudan is in seventh place with 2.7 million weed smokers followed by Madagascar’s 2.1 million users while Ghana has 2 million marijuana users.

Zimbabwe, Malawi, Niger and Zambia are the countries with the least number of marijuana users with 1.1 million, 1.2 million, 1.2 million and 1.4 million users respectively.
