A Nigerian, Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, who was arrested in the United States for a series of offences, is due to be deported to Nigeria as he has served his jail terms and is currently in the custody of the customs and immigration in the country.

According to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Ijaoba was described as a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria and former member of the Bloods — a notoriously violent street gang.

He was said to have been involved in various criminal activities including aggravated assault, armed robbery, drug sales, obstruction and escape from police custody before he was eventually caught and jailed.

According to the ICE, he entered the United States illegally and then racked up an extensive rap sheet that includes convictions for the above offences.

“He has a final removal order and awaits deportation in ICE custody,” the US agency stated on Monday.
