Ahead of the all English club Champions League final, Totenham Hotspur Manager, Mauricio Pochettino said he is delighted with how preparations are progressing for the final against English rival, Liverpool next weekend.
The club will take on Liverpool in European football’s showpiece event at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Saturday, 1 June.
Totenham’s last league fixture against Everton secured a top four place back on Sunday 12 May.
According to the club’s website, “the players have trained at Hotspur Way and will continue to do so until flying out to Madrid next week.”
Speaking after training on Friday, Mauricio said, “We are working hard, preparing for the final and at the same time, enjoying it because it’s a period we don’t get together very often.
“It’s not a pre-season, but we have three weeks and it’s so important in the way we prepare and apply the different work to different players at different levels.
“Of course, we are so happy in the way it’s going, always with the idea to win. It’s not about playing, it’s about winning.
“The players are so excited, so motivated but at the same time very calm and relaxed with the confidence we’re doing the right things to arrive in the best way.”
