The two informants, Idi Riga, aged 18 years and Murtala Sani, aged 22 years, were arrested by the operatives attached to the Gobirawo Outstation following intelligence reports gathered about their activities.

According to reports, on July 31 around 5:00 a.m., gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attacked the residence of a 46-years-old man, of Gwanar Dutse Village, Gwana District, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.

During the incident, the victim sustained gunshot injuries while attempting to escape. Thereafter, he was taken to the General Hospital, Kashere, by family members where he is currently receiving treatment.

Following the report of the incident at the Gobirawo Outstation, operatives began investigation which led to the arrest of the two men on August 2 around 3:30 p.m.

During their interrogation, the two men were said to have confessed that they acted as informants to the kidnappers who carried out the attack.
